Johnson won at Augusta National Golf Club with a final score of 20-under that was finished off by a four-under 68.
The win marked the first time in five attempts Johnson won a major after securing the lead after three rounds. The last loss of that kind occurred earlier this year at the PGA Championship.
Johnson's Sunday 68 was his third round in the 60s and it pushed him to the lowest four-round score in Masters history.
