Lauren Waidner of Fleming Island, Fla., has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at Florida in 2017.
She is ranked No. 27 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings for the class of 2017, and is ranked No. 213 overall.

Waidner, a sophomore at Fleming Island High School, also made unofficial visits to North Carolina, Florida State, Kentucky and Auburn before deciding to become a Gator.
"I chose the University of Florida because I really liked the program and I bonded well with the coaches," Waidner said.
