Lane Wallace, of Yukon, Okla., has verbally committed to play for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2017.
Wallace, who plays at Yukon High School, is the No. 273 player in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. Oklahoma was the only school he visited, but he said he knew it was meant to be.
"I committed to OU is because it has one of the nicest campuses, everything is so close together. Also the coaches, (head coach Ryan) Hybl and (assistant coach Jim) Garren really know how to build a team and help their players succeed in everything they do not just on the golf course.
