NORTON, Mass. – Stepping on the grounds of TBC Boston, Colt Knost was acutely aware of his position in the FedEx Cup standings and what he needs to do to improve it.
Currently 95th on the playoff list, Knost needs to jump up 25 spots this week at the Deutsche Bank Championship to garner a tee time in the BMW Championship in two weeks outside of Chicago.
Shooting a 4-under 67 in the first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship on Friday was a good first step.
“I have nothing to lose this week,” Knost said of his go-for-broke attitude.
