ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – After three runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour in less than a year it would be natural for Kevin Kisner to be anxious to shed his bridesmaid label, but that wouldn’t be Kisner.
“I haven't been disappointed in any stretch of golf to have a chance. I always rate myself on that,” said Kisner, who posted another near miss two weeks ago at the WGC-HSBC Championship. “I've just gotten beat a few times, so hopefully I'll have a chance coming down with a couple-shot lead on Sunday.”
A part of Kisner’s relaxed take on his close calls stems from his continued solid play, like Thursday’s 7-under 65 at the RSM Classic that moved him atop the Day 1 leaderboard.
