Kirk withdraws from British Open, Streelman earns spot

Chris Kirk has withdrawn from the 2015 British Open at St. Andrews, and Kevin Streelman will take his spot in the field.

Kirk, who won this season on the PGA Tour at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, broke his right hand while playing with one of his sons on Friday, Golf World's Tim Rosaforte reported on Twitter. Kirk, 30, has three top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season and tied for 19th at the British Open last year.

Streelman, 36, has made the cut at the British Open in two straight years heading into play next week in Scotland.
