Jerry Smith carded a final-round, 2-under 70 to win the Encompass Championship Sunday in Glenview, Ill.
The victory at North Shore Country Club marks Smith's first Champions Tour title. The Iowa native finished at 16-under 200, a tournament record.
Smith led by three shots entering the final round but was just a shot ahead through 15 holes Sunday. But a hole-out eagle from a greenside bunker at the par-5 16th hole helped Smith notch a three-shot victory over David Frost, who closed with a 68.
