SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – In his first start as a professional in a PGA Tour event, Jack Maguire made a hole-in-one at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and paid off one lucky person’s mortgage for a year.

One of the Tour’s partners, Quicken Loans, has a sweepstakes in which a winner’s mortgage is paid in full for one year when a PGA Tour player makes an ace. Maguire, who is 21, still lives at home with his parents in St. Petersburg, Fla. He smiled and said he hadn’t any clue about making house payments.

“I honestly don’t know anything about mortgages,” he said.
