International Crown looking for new 2016 venue

Eight months out, the UL International Crown is looking for a new site to stage its event.

The LPGA and Rich Harvest Farms announced Wednesday that they have mutually agreed to relocate the biennial international team competition. The event was scheduled to be played July 21-24 at Rich Harvest Farms outside Chicago, which was also host to the 2009 Solheim Cup.

No reasons for the move were given, though the release stated that the LPGA remained committed to keeping the event in the Chicago area.

“The LPGA is finalizing a new host venue and will comment further at the appropriate time,” the LPGA said in its release.
