TURNBERRY, Scotland – Michelle Wie pulled up her pant leg a few inches to reveal the “terminator brace” on her left leg. She flew to Scotland on Sunday for the Ricoh Women’s British Open after hitting only a handful of shots at her home in Jupiter, Fla., while wearing a protective boot.
“This is the first time I’ve hit shots in two weeks,” Wie said after finishing a range session at Trump Turnberry on the southwest Scottish coast. “Obviously I wish this week was one week farther away.”
