Injured Love '50/50' to play U.S. Open qualifier

DUBLIN, Ohio – Davis Love III is signed up to play Monday’s 36-hole U.S. Open qualifier in Columbus, Ohio. It would be his first start of any kind since undergoing foot surgery in June.

Mac Barnhardt, Love’s manager with Lagardere, said he is “50/50” to play the qualifier and that he’s going to see how his right foot holds up.

Love planned to return in time for last month’s Wells Fargo Championship but told GolfChannel.com at The Players that he hadn’t been able to play consecutive days without discomfort.

The qualifier will be played at Brookside Golf & Country Club and Lakes Golf & Country Club.
