Hull goes 2-0, proves to much for Lee, Stanford

ST. LEON-ROT, Germany – The second match of the Solheim Cup’s afternoon fourball session had several subplots for a match that wasn’t particularly close or competitive.

Charley Hull and Gwladys Nocera built a 4-up lead after 12 holes for Europe and easily defeated Alison Lee and Angela Stanford, 3 and 2. Hull made seven birdies and credited Nocera’s steady game with allowing Hull to take dead aim at most of the flags at St. Leon-Rot Golf Club.

Hull, 19, won both her matches on Friday (the morning foursomes while paired with Melissa Reid) and now has a 4-1 career record in the Solheim Cup.
