NORTON, Mass. – Charley Hoffman is relying on a simple formula for dealing with the added pressure of trying to advance in the FedEx Cup Playoffs and make the U.S. Presidents Cup team at this week’s Deutsche Bank Championship.
“Hit fairways and hit the green, try to make the putt,” Hoffman said.
The formula’s working pretty good.
Hoffman shot a 7-under-par 63 Saturday to take the second-round lead at TPC Boston. At 12 under overall, he’s three shots ahead of Brendon de Jonge.
