PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – After missing out on a playoff at The Players Championship by one shot, Bill Haas was left to rue two short misses that derailed his final round.
Haas shot a 2-under 70 Sunday at TPC Sawgrass, a score that would have been lower were it not for a pair of missed 3-footers, one for birdie on No. 2 and another for par on No. 9. At 11 under, he tied for fourth as Rickie Fowler, Kevin Kisner and Sergio Garcia ended up in a playoff that Fowler ultimately won.
