PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Emiliano Grillo hoisted the trophy at the Web.com Tour Championship, but Chez Reavie left TPC Sawgrass with the ultimate prize.
Grillo, 23, began the day with a two-shot lead and holed a 25-foot birdie putt on the final green to edge Reavie in the season’s final event. It was the first Web.com Tour win for the Argentine, who lost in a playoff earlier this year at the PGA Tour’s Puerto Rico Open, and his first win in the U.S.
Grillo had already secured his card thanks to a pair of top-10 finishes earlier in the Web.
