Former PGA Tour pro Ken Green to undergo "The Leg Trimming" surgery

Thoughts and prayers go out to Ken Green in the days ahead. Green, 57, who had his lower right leg amputated following a horrific RV accident in 2009, is scheduled to undergo a procedure March 9 in Kalamazoo, Mich., to insulate the nerve endings on his leg. The goal of the operation is to alleviate nerve pain that has forced him to take stronger medication (Fentanyl and OxyContin) to get through the days.

“I would cut more leg and two nuts to not have this pain,” Green wrote in his blog at KenGreensComeback.com. “I’ve basically been broken from the torture of six years.
