Eric Ghim recently verbally committed to San Diego State.
Ghim, a 16-year-old from Glendale, Ariz., is ranked 90th by Golfweek and 35th among Romine's Top 50 boys for the Class of 2016.
He chose the Aztecs over Arizona State and Arizona, two schools that he visited and received offers from.
"I picked San Diego State because of good location, weather that I can play year round in, a solid schedule and I believe it will further my game to the next level," said Ghim, whose won the Arizona Amateur Public Links and was top 10 at the Heather Farr Classic.
