Dunne, Moynihan turn pro after Walker Cup win

LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England – The Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup team was a success at Royal Lytham and St. Annes with a 16.5 – 9.5 thrashing of a U.S. team that was on paper the stronger squad.

Now five GB&I players, Ashley Chesters and Jimmy Mullen of England along with Irishmen Paul Dunne, Gary Hurley and Gavin Moynihan, have decided to turn pro and ply their trade on tours throughout the world.

Dunne, 22, was in the last pairing in the final round of the 2015 British Open, finishing 30th, but it clearly made his decision easier about jumping to the professional ranks.
