Coletta, Straka steal show early on second day at U.S. Amateur

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – A 90-minute rain delay halted second-round action at the U.S. Amateur before it could even start Tuesday, but an early frontrunner has still emerged from the morning wave.

Australian Brett Coletta fired a 4-under 66 on the Olympia Fields North Course to jump to a two-day, 7-under total and a two-shot lead with several groups in the morning still to finish and everyone in the afternoon wave early in their rounds.

Coletta is the clubhouse leader by four shots, as fellow native Australian Maverick Antcliff posted a 3-under 36-hole total.
