The 15-year-old was the first player to arrive at Thursday's pre-qualifier, but he got out to a rough start with a pair of bogeys through his first four holes and a double bogey on the fifth hole.
Woods struggled mightily on the par-4 seventh hole, carding a 12 before closing out the front nine with a 47.
