Hamilton’s 71-73-76 showing at Ocean Forest Golf Club was six short of Beau Hossler’s winning total, and the Canadian's performance didn’t match that of fellow countrymen Corey Conners and Austin Connelly, the 2014 and 2015 Jones Cup winners, respectively. But the second-place finish was still quite an accomplishment after a hectic month.
Hamilton’s clubs were stolen from an airport in early December. A few days later, during training camp in Houston with Team Canada, a national program that is involved in developing some of Canada’s best amateur golfers, he got a call from his girlfriend: she was on her way to a hospital in Toronto.
