SAN MARTIN, Calif. – When it comes to great characters on the LPGA, Christina Kim ranks near the top. A fan favorite week to week on tour, CordeValle is especially Christina-friendly given that she grew up 18 miles away in the southern part of San Jose. Straight up Monterey Road, she said.
Kim estimates up to 200 people she knows will come out to support her at the 71st U.S. Women’s Open.
“That’s why I’m trying to play so hard this week,” she said, “because I gotta pay for that crap, and it’s not cheap.”
