OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – Bryson DeChambeau won the 115th U.S. Amateur on Sunday at Olympia Fields’ North Course, and in the process etched his name into lore with some of the greatest players in the history of the game.

DeChambeau, 21, of Clovis, Calif., went on a sensational run after opening the afternoon round of his scheduled 36-hole final against Derek Bard and rolled to a lopsided 7-and-6 triumph.
