JACKSON, Miss. – The PGA Tour teed up a new schedule just two weeks after its 2015-16 season-ending Tour Championship, and it will run … well, pretty much forever. Year-round golf, tournaments with multi-million dollar purses most every week of the calendar (save a short window from Thanksgiving to New Year), means complete nirvana for many.
But the “new” schedule, in its third year, is not for everyone.
Even for the usually mild-mannered Boo Weekley – a blue-collar man who has collected some $13.5 million on the PGA Tour – it seems that sometimes, enough is enough.
