BMW PGA Championship to resume on Saturday, reduced to 54 hole event

The BMW PGA Championship will resume play Saturday morning at Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, England, following its suspension in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death on Thursday.

Play was initially halted at 6:32 p.m. local time after news of the Queen's death was announced, "out of respect for Her Majesty and the Royal Family." Play was fully cancelled on Friday.

DP World Tour officials stated just after 3 p.m. BST on Friday that play would re-commence on Saturday, with the second round beginning at 6:40 a.m. local time and the 30 players who still needed to complete their opening rounds setting out at 7:30 a.
