Big names in control heading into round three of WGC-Dell Match Play

AUSTIN, Texas — A sloppy double-bogey at the par-3 11th notwithstanding, Jordan Spieth for a second straight day had an effective stroll upon a familiar golf course in a town that still is quite cozy for him. (You can pack a lot of memories in just one year of college.)

Tidy and proficient Thursday morning, Spieth cruised past Victor Dubuisson, 5 and 4, in Round 2 of the WGC-Dell Match Play at Austin Country Club, and in going 2-0 he has played just 30 holes. He’s never trailed, has owned the lead for 29 of them, and he’s lost just four holes.
