Marcus Kinhult has the world's No. 1 amateur ranking in his sights.
The 18-year-old amateur from Sweden, ranked third in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, shares the 36-hole lead with fellow countryman Jans Dantorp at the European Tour's Nordea Masters. Kinhult shot 4-under 68 Friday after an opening-round 67 at PGA Sweden National in Malmo, Sweden.
Kinhult won the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley and the Lytham Trophy earlier this spring. This week is his third straight start in a professional event. He missed the cut at the Stora Hotellet Bryggan Fjallbacka Open before tying for fourth at the Trummenas Open.
