Emma Talley got a phone call late Sunday night that she was in the field at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic on a sponsor exemption. Good thing the Alabama campus is only an hour and 45 minutes away from this week’s tour stop. Talley and teammate Janie Jackson, who Monday-qualified, have driven back and forth from Tuscaloosa to practice at the RTJ Senator Course every day this week.
Talley, a communications major, went to class Wednesday morning and then headed over to the tournament. It’s like a Roll Tide reunion over in Prattville, with a trio of ’Bama alumni playing in the 12:22 p.
