American Dustin Johnson’s win at the U.S. Open earlier this year has vaulted him into favorite status to earn his second major victory in the PGA Championship this weekend.
Johnson was a co-favorite at the British Open and finished ninth earlier this month at Royal Troon in Scotland, and he has never placed higher than fifth at the PGA Championship. However, he is still listed as +800 chalk (bet $100 to win $800) at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark.
Johnson’s main competition is expected to come from another pair of previous major winners in Irishman Rory McIlroy and Australian Jason Day, who is the defending champion.
