Warriors Weekly: Golden State Reasserting Themselves As Top Team In NBA

The Golden State Warriors dropped two games early in the season, causing some to wonder if there was reason for this team should push the panic button (hah!). Now, the Warriors have won nine of their last 10 games and are clicking on all cylinders. More on that streak and more inside our Warriors Weekly update:

Last Week:
Golden State started last week in the middle of a challenging three-game road trip against the Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs, and Denver Nuggets, all of whom started the year with playoff expectations. However, none of those three gave the Warriors much of a test - they won all three by at least 19 points.

They returned home at the start of the week and have shown similar dominance, beating the Miami Heat 97-80 on Monday and the Minnesota Timberwolves 125-101 (without Kevin Durant).

What's Up Next:
The Warriors wrap up a four-game homestand this week against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday and the Orlando Magic on Monday. Then, they'll hit the road for another four-game road trip on Thursday against the Boston Celtics. That game will be televised by TNT.

Injuries:
Durant missed the win over the Timberwolves with a thigh injury and had Andre Iguodala start in his place. However, he is expected to return Saturday against the Sixers.

Backup point guard Shaun Livingston is also listed as day-to-day after suffering a minor knee injury in the win over Minnesota, but the team also expects him to be able to play Saturday.
