Warriors Take Game 1 With Dominant 118-106 Win Over Trail Blazers

The Golden State Warriors showed no signs of rust in Game 1, using a dominant first quarter to power their way to a huge 118-106 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Warriors opened the game on a 22-7 run, and ever looked back. The lead hit 20 by the end of the first quarter, and Portland never got within nine points from that point on.

Golden State was led by a huge night from Klay Thompson, who finished with 37 points. Draymond Green produced another triple-double with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Damian Lillard led Portland with 30 points, but he and C.J. McCollum combined to shoot just 13/44 from the field. Allen Crabbe provided a spark with 15 points off the bench.

Game 2 will be on Tuesday at 10:30 pm ET on TNT.
