Warriors News: Kevin Love Trade? Draymond Green-Dennis Rodman Comparison, DLO Jump Shot & Chase Center

Draymond Green signed a 4 year- $100 MM contract extension last month to stay with the Golden State Warriors. With Klay Thompson recovering from ACL surgery, he  will need to step up in a big way but Warriors fans know the impact that Green can have. Perhaps that’s why Dennis Rodman sees so much of himself in Draymond. When asked recently which NBA player is most like him, Rodman didn’t hesitate to name Draymond Green. The Bulls dynasty was led by MJ and Scottie Pippen but Rodman was crucial to their NBA championships. Similarly, the Smash Brothers needed Draymond Green to reach five straight NBA Finals.

Another key player for the Warriors success this season will be D’Angelo Russell, who came over from the Brooklyn Nets after an all-star season. Now, the Warriors guard is working on his jump shot with trainer, Chris Brickley, with the goal is to have a faster release. Russell is expected to fill in for Kevin Durant but once Klay returns, DLO seems to be an expensive option to be used as a sixth man. If the Warriors can’t find a fit for D’Angelo Russell, maybe we could see a Kevin Love trade before the 2020 NBA trade deadline. It’s no secret that the Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in dumping Love’s contract and he would give Golden State a big man who can knock down 3-point shots. Other possible trade destinations for Kevin Love include the Hawks, Blazers, Heat and Celtics.

IN THE VIDEO ABOVE & BELOW, Steph Curry got his first official look at Chase Center, the Warriors state-of-the-art facility, this past week. Curry described the area as “pretty special,” commenting on the “player's campus” as a huge upgrade. While playing in Oracle Arena, training facilities were in a different location. Chase Center will now keep all the Warriors’ operations under one roof. Another feature of the area will be a completely enclosed bowl. Team President Rick Welts explained it will keep sound inside the arena and ensure that players won’t be distracted by fans ordering food in the concourse. The first game played in the new arena will be October 5th in a preseason game vs. the Los Angeles Lakers
