Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers announced the head coach Steve Kerr will miss their season opener Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Kerr is still recovering from two offseason back surgeries, and there is no time table for his return to team, though he said he will be in attendance tomorrow night.
Assistant Luke Walton will continue his role as interim head coach until Kerr returns to the team.
