W’s—Spurs: Pre-Game, Game 2

Related Topics: The W, Quinn Cook

The W’s indeed “flipped the switch” in Game 1.

But, as Robert suggests, while perhaps primarily by dint of will or soul-force, there was also decided coaching adjustments that (finally? with perfect impeccable timing?) also set the table right.

And those adjustments were primarily (but not exclusively) defense-minded.

The three W’s who make most vulnerable the team’s defensive wholeness/integrity are: (a) Zaza (through no real fault of his own but rather through slow-footedness that leaves the team vulnerable to dribble penetration; (b) Nick Young; and (c) Quinn Cook (despite his earnestness of defensive effort).

Conspicuous that Kerr’s lineup tweaking in Game 1 addressed exactly these three defensive vulnerabilities.
