After anointing Draymond Green as the NBA's best defender back in July, the sports and politics analysis website FiveThirtyEight is adding an asterisk to its high opinion of the Warriors' versatile forward.
The consensus now is that Draymond is a stud when the Warriors are good — but not so much when they're not.
The season is still very young, of course, but Chris Herring notes that so far, "Green has provided negative 0.3 wins above replacement, according to (FiveThirtyEight's new player-rating metric) RAPTOR. That ranks just 388th in the league out of 410 players.
