Why Warriors suspended Jordan Bell for one game

MEMPHIS — The Warriors suspended second-year forward Jordan Bell for Wednesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies because he attempted to charge a hotel purchase to the bill of assistant coach Mike Brown, according to the Athletic.

It is not entirely clear what purchases Bell attempted to make at the Peabody hotel where the team stayed. But after Brown was alerted about the charge, the Warriors investigated the issue and determined that Bell had put the purchased item on Brown’s bill. The Athletic story noted that the Warriors are concerned Bell has done this other times, too.
