Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr initially refused an interview with ESPN’s Richard Jefferson during the 4th quarter of the Warriors’ 107-103 loss to the Phoenix Suns at Chase Center on Wednesday.
And while there are reasons aplenty why athletes and coaches opt out of in-game and post-game interviews — from mental health to being ‘just ‘bout that action boss’ — Kerr’s was in a category nearly unto itself.
“I wanna talk to Dave,” Kerr said when Jefferson asked about the Warriors’ defense through the first three quarters. “Dave, you ask the question.
