Stephen Curry, seemingly always up for a challenge, re-created his beloved tunnel shot from Oracle Arena under adverse conditions at the new Chase Center Saturday night.
Unfortunately, Curry’s tunnel shot missed about as badly as his wild 30-foot airball to begin the Warriors’ preseason loss to the Lakers in San Francisco.
Curry has long known his signature tunnel shot would be more problematic at the Warriors’ new digs. Unlike Oracle, where the arena’s tunnel lined up perfectly for Curry to have a straight shot at making the long-distance heave, the layout at Chase doesn’t allow for an obstacle-free attempt.
