Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr subbed in embattled forward Jonathan Kuminga early during Game 2 of the team's first-round against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
Kuminga had not played in a Warriors game since the second-to-last game of the season, an April 11 matchup against the Portland Trailblazers. However, injury circumstances appear to have forced Kerr's hand despite the fact that all signs pointed to the fact that he was no longer a part of the Dubs' rotation this postseason.
The substitution happened with 29 seconds left in the first quarter after Jimmy Butler took a hard fall while trying to get a rebound a couple minutes prior.
