Warriors’ Stephen Curry close to comeback, faces a long road to normal

You’ve got a lot of nerve. Literally.

According to healthline.com, there are hundreds of nerves in the human body. If you’ve ever had an accident and/or surgery that impacts a nerve you know there are stages of recovery.

The Warriors’ Stephen Curry, who suffered a broken left hand the day before Halloween, and had follow-up surgery, has resumed basketball drills and practice. He has March 1 targeted for his comeback game (subject to change, per Warriors coach Steve Kerr). Videos show Curry looking like his old self.

He’s not.

“I don’t think there’s any real risk of re-injury to the hand,” Brandon Payne, Curry’s trainer told NBC Sports Bay Area before Thursday night’s home game against the Lakers.
