Warriors shootaround video: Steph Curry discusses the difficulty of simulating late-game situations

OAKLAND — It’s tough to find blemishes on a 32-6 team. But the Warriors have a clear one that has surfaced the past few weeks: late-game offense.

What’s the best way to correct a flaw? Work on it. But with this particular problem, it’s not that easy. NBA crunch time isn’t something you can just simulate in practice. It’s tough to recreate the frantic environment, the fatigue that you’re feeling at the end of an NBA game and — most importantly — the high-octane, desperate defense by the opponent.

Patrick McCaw as a scout team defender in an empty gym can’t exactly mimic a frantic, frothing Tony Allen roaming the court searching for a stop in the final few minutes of an important game.
