The dominant storyline that will come out of Monday’s Warriors-Rockets game is all about the third team: the officials. The Warriors took a 3-1 series lead Monday night with a thrilling Game 4 win over the Rockets, 109-106, in spite of a refereeing performance that had multiple NBA Hall of Famers blasting the officials for a disastrous game.
The officiating mistakes began literally from the opening tip, as the refs never noticed the shot clock wasn’t operating for the first 78 seconds of the game. The clock finally started ahead of the fifth possession, which can be seen at the end of this highlight.
