After serving as a Warriors’ player, head coach, general manager and long-time ambassador, Al Attles will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a contributor.

Attles became known as “The Destroyer” during his 11-year NBA career with the Warriors because of his unyielding physical presence along with 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. After finishing fifth on the Warriors’ all-time games played list (711), he transitioned into coaching and led the Warriors to their first NBA championship in 1975.
