NEW ORLEANS — Klay Thompson is typically one of the Warriors’ quietest players, but he is making his voice heard to support Wine Country wildfire relief efforts.
In a video posted Friday afternoon to his Twitter account, Thompson announced that he will donate $1,000 for every point he scores in Golden State’s next three home games to Redwood Credit Union’s wildfire relief fund. He is encouraging others to join him by donating at pledgeit.org/klay.
“Let’s stick together, because loved ones and families have been displaced and lost from these terrible events,” Thompson said in the video.
