Warriors have 'optimism' that Steph Curry's foot injury won't keep him out of Game 4: report

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has avoided a worst-case scenario for the apparent injury he sustained in the final minutes of Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Curry will not need an MRI, will attend practice and "has avoided major issue with his left foot," according to a report from The Athletic.

Celtics big man Al Horford rolled onto Curry’s leg in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game as the two dove for a loose ball. Images and video of the play show Curry screaming in agony.

Though the Golden State guard looked hobbled, he remained in the game for a couple more minutes before coach Steve Kerr yanked all of his starters out of the game in the eventual 116-100 loss.
