The Golden State Warriors’ gutsy playoff win against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday forced Wolves head coach Chris Finch to call out his young superstar Anthony Edwards in the postgame press conference.
Finch’s assessment of Edwards’ performance was brutal, but fitting. While the Minnesota player did score 23 points, grab 14 rebounds and nab three steals, he did so without scoring any points in the first half, and didn’t even hit a jump shot until late in the fourth quarter. Golden State won the second-round series opener 99-88.
“It starts with Anthony,” Finch said.
