Warriors forward Patrick McCaw will not play against the Boston Celtics Saturday evening with a mid-back strain, Warriors coach Steve Kerr announced prior to the contest.
McCaw has missed three games this season due to injury. In addition to Thursday’s 126-113 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, McCaw missed two games as a result of a concussion suffered in a 125-115 win over the New Orleans Pelicans Dec. 4. Still, the second-year guard is averaging career highs in points (4.0), rebounds (1.5) and assists (1.4).
In addition, rookie forward Jordan Bell will continue to sit out with inflammation in his left ankle.
