Look who’s coming to town: James Harden and Dwight Howard, once again.
The Warriors will meet Houston in the first round of the NBA playoffs, starting 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Oracle Arena. The Rockets clinched the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference on Wednesday night, with a 116-81 home victory over Sacramento.
Harden and Howard are not exactly postseason strangers for Golden State. The Warriors beat the Rockets in five games in last year’s West finals, securing the franchise’s first conference title in 40 years (followed soon thereafter by its first NBA title in the same span).
