Warriors’ D’Angelo Russell (shoulder) out vs. Pistons but probable for Monday

SAN FRANCISCO — Warriors guard D’Angelo Russell (right shoulder contusion) and center Kevon Looney (left abdominal soreness) have been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Detroit Pistons at Chase Center.

Kerr expects Russell, sidelined for his third straight game after bruising his shoulder in a collision with Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic last week, to play Monday in Sacramento. Looney will miss his sixth game in a row with his lingering abdominal injury.

Center Willie Cauley-Stein will start after missing three games with flu-like symptoms. He had started 30 straight games but did not travel for the team’s two-city trip in San Antonio and Minnesota.
