Before the team’s NBA Finals matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers beginning on June 4, the Golden State Warriors, Ross Stores and the San Francisco Public Library teamed up to host a Reading Time-Out at the Ortega Branch Library to tip-off the Summer Stride summer learning program. Warriors Community Ambassador Adonal Foyle joined the Reading Time-Out to read to the students and share how reading played a crucial role in his journey to the NBA and his life after his playing days.
“Reading isn’t only something you have to do to get good grades in school, it can transport you to a new world to find new adventures and people,” said Foyle.
